What to check before transferring your domain
Before starting the domain transfer process, you need to ensure the following:
The domain is active
The domain was registered more than 60 days ago
The domain transfer lock is disabled (refer to our guide on How to Disable Domain Lock (Domain Transfer Lock) for details)
Privacy protection for the domain is disabled
How to get your domain’s transfer code
Follow these steps to find your domain’s transfer code:
1. Log in to your account
2. Find your domain under Your domains and click the Manage button (you can also search for your domain using the Search icon)
3. Under the Overview tab, scroll down to the Domain security section
4. You can find your domain’s transfer code in the Transfer Code field (It’s hidden by default but can be viewed and copied.)
How to initiate the domain transfer process
Follow these steps to initiate your domain’s transfer:
1. Provide the Transfer Code to your new registrar to start the transfer process
2. At this stage, you need to contact your new registrar for assistance in completing the transfer
3. Once the transfer is initiated by your new registrar, we will send an email to the current registrant contact of the domain for approval
4. Please ensure the recipient clicks the link in the email to approve the domain transfer explicitly
What are the restrictions on transferring a domain?
The following restrictions can prevent your domain from being transferred:
Domain age is less than 60 days: Domains registered less than 60 days ago cannot be transferred due to registry rules.
Domain was recently transferred: Domains transferred to our platform within the last 60 days cannot be transferred again.
Domain has expired: Expired domains in the Redemption Grace Period or Pending Delete status are ineligible for transfer.
