An AAAA Record (Quad A Record) connects your domain to the IP address of the server that hosts your website using the IPv6 protocol. This ensures visitors reach the correct server when they enter your domain.
Steps to add an AAAA Record
1. Log in to your account
2. Find your domain under Your domains and click the Manage button (you can also search for your domain using the Search icon)
3. Click the DNS tab
4. Select DNS Records under the DNS tab
5. Click the Add new record button
6. Select AAAA Record in the dropdown
7. Fill in the fields:
a. Host name: Leave this blank for your main domain (example.com) or enter your subdomain (www or blog).
b. Destination IPv6 address: Enter the IPv6 address where your domain should point. IPv6 addresses are longer, more modern IP addresses, typically the IP address of the server hosting your website.
c. TTL (time to live): Set it to Auto or select a value to decide how long you want DNS information to be stored by servers and browsers. A lower TTL means changes to the record will take effect faster.
8. Click Save
